The World Women’s Snooker Tour (WWS) will return to Ireland for the second staging Irish Women’s Snooker Open on 27-29 November 2026.

Following a successful inaugural event in 2025, the ranking event will once again take place at the Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) HQ in Carlow, Ireland – the official national snooker academy of the country.

Bai Yulu was the winner of the first ever ranking event in Ireland last November as she made two centuries and defeated Mink Nutcharut 4-2 in the title match to win the seventh ranking title of her career.

The Irish Women’s Open will once again be open to players of all ages, nationalities and levels of experience, with a range of international names set to be joined by players from Ireland for the event on the Emerald Isle.

Women’s snooker continues to grow in Ireland, with a national championship being staged earlier this year in the country, and record entry numbers are expected for the second staging of the Irish Women’s Open.

Alongside the main competition, there will also be side-tournaments held for Under-21 and Seniors (over-40s) players, won last year by Narucha Phoemphul and Tessa Davidson, with a Challenge Cup also run on the final day for players already knocked out of the tournament.

Dylan Rees, SBI Vice Chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome the World Women’s Snooker Tour back to Carlow in November for the second staging of the Irish Women’s Open.”

“Over the past 12 months, we have had a big increase in the number of female cueists competing in SBI events and we look forward to seeing them compete alongside the world’s very best players in an event that promises to be bigger and better than ever.”

Further information, including how to enter and the full entry pack, will follow in due course.
