The iconic Northern Snooker Centre will once again welcome the best female snooker players in the world for the UK Women’s Snooker Championship from 29-31 August 2025.

Set to be the season-opener for the 2025/26 World Women’s Snooker Tour, the UK Championship remains one of the most prestigious events on the calendar having been staged on 37 previous occasions since 1982.

Last year saw China’s Bai Yulu lift the title for the first time, with her victory over record 12-time champion Reanne Evans seeing the 21-year-old become only the fifth player ever to win world and UK titles during the same calendar year.

The event will once again be held in partnership with host venue the Northern Snooker Centre, which has been the home of the competition since 2015. The venue remains one of the outstanding snooker facilities in the UK with a range of significant improvements having been made since last year’s event including enhanced disability access and significant renovations to the bar and lounge area.

Alongside the main competition, there will also be side-tournaments played for our Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40s) players, won last season by English duo Ellise Scott and Tessa Davidson respectively.

As in previous years, a Challenge Cup (six reds) will be played on the Sunday to guarantee that all players will have at least one match on the final day.

Mandy Fisher, WWS President said: “We are today pleased to announce the dates for this season’s UK Women’s Snooker Championship as the tournament will return to Leeds for a tenth consecutive year.

“For over four decades the Northern Snooker Centre has provided fantastic support for women’s snooker and I would like to thank everyone at the venue for their continued backing.

“I look forward to seeing our players and officials for what will no doubt be a fantastic opener to the new season!”
