Entry is now open for the 2026 Australian Women’s Snooker Open as the World Women’s Snooker (WWS) Tour returns to Sydney, Australia.

Organised by the Australian Billiards and Snooker Council (ABSC) in partnership with WWS, the event represents the seventh staging of a WWS event in Australia since the inaugural staging in 2018.

Last year, Thailand’s Ploychompoo Laokiatphong defeated compatriot Narucha Phoemphul 4-1 to win the second ranking event title of her career. Former world champions OnYee Ng and Mink Nutcharut have also each lifted the Australian Open title on two previous occasions.

This year’s four-day event is once again set to see the best female players from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond contest the main tournament title, as well as a Challenge Cup side-tournament for players who do not qualify from the round-robin group stages. For a second year, there will also be side-tournaments for Under-21s and Seniors (over-40s) players.

The event is made possible by the crucial sponsorship provided by Mounties and The Snooker Shop
