Tournament information for this weekend’s Australian Women’s Snooker Open is now available:

The third World Women’s Snooker (WWS) ranking tournament of the season sees the Tour head to the Mounties Club in Sydney, Australia for the first time since 2019.

The field is headlined by recent US Open champion Jamie Hunter, with the English player hoping to build upon her maiden ranking success in Seattle with another strong performance in Sydney.

She will be joined by a number of familiar faces including two-time Australian Open quarter-finalist Jessica Woods and Japan’s Miina Tani who reached the last 16 of this year’s World Championship in Sheffield, England.

Format

This weekend’s format will be as follows:

  • The players have been drawn in two groups of eight players
  • The top four players from each group will progress to the knockout stages
  • All qualifiers from the group stages will be positioned in the knockout draw according to group stage performance in line with our established qualifying criteria

Group matches will be played over the best of three frames, knockout rounds to be 5/7/7.
