World Snooker Tour has today announced that reinging World Women’s Snooker Champion Bai Yulu has been named as the Nongfu Spring WST Rookie of the Year for the 2024/25 season.
Having turned professional at the start of the campaign following her landmark victory in Dongguan last March, the 21-year-old enjoyed a significant breakthrough at the 2024 UK Championship as she became the first woman to reach the last 48 stage of a Triple Crown event.
Impressive victories against Farakh Ajaib, Jamie Jones and Scott Donaldson took her to within one win of a place at the televised stages, before she lost out to six-time ranking event finalist Jack Lisowski in the final qualifying round.
Bai also enjoyed victories against Liam Pullen at the German Masters qualifiers, as well as a televised win against Jamie Clarke at the Shoot Out.
