British Open Rescheduled to January 2022

World Women’s Snooker (WWS) has announced that this season’s British Open has been rescheduled to take place on 15-16 January 2022.

The change follows the recent announcement by the European Billiards and Snooker Association that the organisation plans to host the 2021 European Championships – including singles and team women events – during the October dates originally announced for the British Open.

To ensure that our players are not forced to choose between competitions, WWS has taken the decision to reschedule the British Open to January and maximise playing opportunities for all.

Set to return to the World Women’s Snooker Tour for the first time since 2018, the event will be held at The Winchester Club in Leicester, a venue which has successfully hosted Challenge Tour tournaments and is a member of England’s national 147 Club affiliation scheme by the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards.

The event will now be the fourth ranking tournament of the season and information on how you can enter will be released in due course.
