Entry is now open for the 2026 Irish Women’s Open which will take place at the Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) HQ in Carlow, Ireland on 27-29 November.
The three-day event is organised in partnership with both Snooker & Billiards Ireland and Sport Ireland, and represents the return of the the World Women’s Snooker (WWS) Tour to the country following the successful staging of the inaugural competition in Carlow last year.
China’s Bai Yulu, who recently returned to the world number one ranking, won the 2025 edition of the Irish Women’s Open following a 4-2 victory against Mink Nutcharut in the title match.

Women’s snooker continues to enjoy a renaissance in Ireland, with a relaunched national championship won by Margaret O’Driscoll earlier this year and record entry numbers are now anticipated for the second world ranking event to be held in the country.
Alongside the main competition, there will also be tournaments held for Under-21 and Seniors (over-40s) players, won last year by Narucha Phoemphul and Tessa Davidson, with a Challenge Cup also run on the final day for players already knocked out of the main tournament.

The event will again be staged in partnership with Snooker & Billiards Ireland and Sport Ireland, with their support ensuring that the players will enjoy the best possible playing conditions and hospitality at the stunning eight-table venue in Carlow.
