Reigning champion Bai Yulu will face world number one Mink Nutcharut in repeat of last year’s final at the 2025 World Women’s Snooker Championship in Dongguan Changping.

The top two pre-tournament seeds for the tournament will meet in the title match having each won eight matches on their way to the final so far and come through their respective semi-finals by a comfortable margin.

First to book her place in the final was Thailand’s Mink, who scored a 5-1 victory against fellow Thai former world champion Baipat Siripaporn during the afternoon session to reach the showpiece match for the fourth time in her career.

It was a hard-fought battle from the early exchanges as Mink got the better of the key early moments to establish a 4-0 interval lead. The third frame in particular was a crucial point of the contest as the 2022 world champion strengthened her grip on the match despite a match-high 55 break from her opponent.

Although Siripaporn won the first frame upon their resumption, it would be in vain as Nutcharut claimed victory in the sixth frame to move to within one win of her second world title.

Standing in her way is the defending champion Bai Yulu, who ended the run of Xia Yuyin with a 5-0 whitewash to maintain her 100% record of reaching at least the final of the World Championship since her debut in 2023.

The home favourite top scored with breaks of 43 and 38 during a match that was closer than the overall scoreline suggested and maintain her bid to become the first player to successfully defend the crown since Ng On Yee achieved the feat from 2017-2018. The 21-year-old will also be looking to become the first maiden winner to defend the title since Reanne Evans (2005-2006).

The best of 11 frames title match will begin at 12:00m CST / 5:00am BST broadcast live internationally via YouTube.

Channoi, Davidson Claim Titles

The penultimate day also saw the conclusion of the Under-21 and Seniors World Championship events with Thailand’s Panchaya Channoi and England’s Tessa Davidson respectively having claimed the prestigious titles.

Talented junior Channoi capped an impressive week in Dongguan Changping to lift the Under-21 title for the first time at the age of just 16 following a 3-1 success over Liu Ziling of China. The Thai player built upon her last 16 run in the main competition – which included a top break of 91 – to hit four of the top six breaks during the junior Championship on her way to glory.

In the Seniors Championship it was Davidson who scored a repeat victory from 2024 over China’s Han Fang to earn her third Seniors title from the past four years (2022, 2024) and successfully defend the title.

The dominant Seniors player over the past three years shows no sign of relinquishing her grip upon the crown and hit top breaks of 56 and a title-clinching 50 on her way to glory in the category for players aged 40 or above.

Both players will be presented with their trophies during the presentation ceremony following the main event final on Tuesday.
