Thailand’s Phakwalan Kongkaew has reached the last 16 stage of three world ranking events following her Tour debut in 2023.
The talented youngster first competed on home soil at the 2023 World Women’s Championship aged just 11 and impressed as she won two matches to qualify for the knockout rounds, notably claiming a frame from top 10 player Mary Talbot during the group stages.
It was not until 2025 that she would begin to compete regularly on the Tour, competing in four tournaments, from which she reached the last 16 on three occasions at the UK Championship, Australian Open and Niche Cues Open events.
She also claimed her first trophies on Tour as she reached the finals of Under-21 tournaments in the UK and Australia, narrowly losing to compatriot Narucha Phoemphul on both occasions.
