Hong Kong China’s Yuk Fan Lau reached the quarter-finals of a world ranking event at the 2023 Australian Women’s Open in Sydney.
The debutant won three matches from four during the round robin group stage, before losing out to home favourite Jessica Woods at the last eight stage.
She has twice reached the last 16 stage of a world ranking event since, while in 2025 she also qualified for the knockout rounds at the World Championship for the first time.
