Entry is now open for the 2026 World Women’s Snooker Championship as the most prestigious tournament in women’s snooker will return to Dongguan Changping next month at an all-new venue.
Organised by World Women’s Snooker (WWS), the Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA), Cantonese Snooker (Changping) and the Dongguan Billiards and Snooker Association, the event will run from 12-19 May 2026 with the winner set to earn a two-year World Snooker Tour card from the start of the 2026/27 season.
Home player Bai Yulu last year became only the sixth player ever to successfully defend the crown following a 6-4 victory against Thailand’s Mink Nutcharut in the final of the biggest World Women’s Snooker Championship staged to date.
The landmark tournament saw the largest entry for a WWS event this century, with 74 players having competed in world class conditions before large crowds of spectators throughout the week.

This year’s 43rd staging is set to welcome leading players from around the globe to the state-of-the-art Dongguan Changping Snooker Center for the first time.
With the tournament open to all women players, of any age, nationality or level of experience, WWS and its partners remain committed to the global development of women’s snooker and the creation of inclusive opportunities for women and girls to play the sport competitively.
Alongside the main competition, the event will also include the staging of the Under-21 and Seniors World Championship tournaments, won last year by Thailand’s Panchaya Channoi and England’s Tessa Davidson respectively.

Entry for all three tournaments is to be made via WPBSA SnookerScores prior to the entry deadline of 1:00pm BST/8:00pm CST on 4 May 2026.
We strongly advise all players to carefully read the event entry pack, which includes information about the official tournament hotel at which all players must stay, basic visa advice for players who plan to travel from outside of China and further essential information about the competition.
All players will be required to attend the opening ceremony, to take place on 11 May 2026.
Players are advised to be aware of the new WPBSA Eligibility Policy and Rules for Open and Women’s Tournaments policy, which has now been adopted by WWS.
