World Women’s Snooker (WWS) is pleased to announce the first staging of the Niche Cues Women’s Snooker Open which will take place at the Hi-End Snooker Club, Bangkok, Thailand from 27-30 October 2025.

Organised with the support of the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand, the event represents the landmark first staging of a WWS ranking event in Asia outside of the World Championship.

The popular Hi-End Snooker club is a familiar venue to the WWS Tour, having successfully held the World Women’s Snooker Championship and Women’s Snooker World Cup tournaments in both 2019 and 2023.

The four-day event will include side-tournaments for Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40s) players and represents another significant milestone in a country which has emerged as one of the fastest growing for women’s snooker globally.

Since 2022, both Mink Nutcharut and Baipat Siripaporn have lifted the World Women’s Snooker Championship title, while Ploychompoo Laokiatphong also became a ranking event winner in 2023.

Most recently, a record 14 Thai players competed at the 2025 World Championship in China, which saw 16-year-old star Panchaya Channoi become World Women’s Under-21 champion and world number one Mink Nutcharut reach her fourth World Championship final since 2019.

“The ideal location”

Mandy Fisher, WWS President said: “We are delighted to be able to return to the Hi-End Snooker Club in Thailand for the first time since our 2023 World Championship.

“We have always received incredible support from our friends and Hi-End and BSAT, who have welcomed us to their country and delivered fantastic playing conditions for our players.

“The growth of women’s snooker in Thailand over the past few years has been wonderful to see and to have so many young players from the country at our recent World Championship was truly inspirational. We firmly believe that Thailand is the ideal location for a world ranking event and we would like to thank Niche Cues and all of the sponsors who have made this possible.”
