World Women’s Snooker (WWS) is pleased to confirm that the Australian Women’s Open will take place at the Mounties Club in Sydney on 5-8 October 2024.

Organised by the Australian Billiards and Snooker Council (ABSC) in partnership with WWS, the event represents the sixth staging of a WWS event in Australia and is the second tournament to be announced for the 2024/25 season following confirmation that the WineCellars.com US Women’s Open will return to Ox Billiards in Seattle in August.

The spectacular Mounties Club in Sydney will once again host the tournament, which was won last year for the second time by Hong Kong China’s Ng On Yee following a 4-1 victory against India’s Amee Kamani in the title match.

With 28 players from Australia and New Zealand currently on the official world ranking list, the region remains a hotbed for women’s snooker with players including Jessica Woods and Lilly Meldrum among those set to fly the flag at Mounties later this year.

In recent years they have been joined by a range of international players including Reanne Evans, Ng On Yee, Mink Nutcharut and many more.

Further information, including the full entry pack and online entry via the ABSC website, will be released in due course.
