The entry deadline for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Women’s Snooker Championship has been extended until 20 January 2023.

To be held at the Mounties venue in Sydney, Australia, the world ranking event is on course to be the largest World Women’s Snooker Tour event held in the Asia-Pacific region to date, with 25 entries already received from six countries.

Among those set to contest the title are three-time world champion Ng On Yee and reigning world champion Mink Nutcharut – both former champions at the Mounties venue – as well as two-time world women’s under-21 champion Ploychompoo Laokiatphong from the world’s top 10.

Jessica Woods is set to lead the Australian charge, having reached her first ranking event final at the Australian Women’s Open back in October when she also became the 15th player ever to record a century break on the WWS Tour.

The event will be the seventh world ranking tournament of the season so far and the final event held prior to the World Women’s Snooker Championship, which will be held in Thailand later in the month.
