Career Summary

Hong Kong’s Pui Ying Mini Chu made her WLBS debut at the 2017 World Women’s Championship in Singapore, finishing second in her group before losing to eventual champion Ng On Yee at the last 16 stage.

She played in significantly more events during the following season, notably winning the Challenge Cup competition at the 2017 Eden Masters in Gloucester. She finished the campaign at a career-high 25th position.


Her best performance to date came at the 2018 Australian Women’s Open at which she finished second in her group, before coming back from 2-0 down to defeat Carlie Tait and reach her first-ever ranking quarter-final. Although she would lose out there to Ng On Yee, her run saw her rise up into the world’s top 20 for the first time in 19th position.
