Bio

Hong Kong’s Chu Pui Ying has competed on the World Women’s Snooker Tour since 2017.

Following her debut at the 2017 World Women’s Snooker Championship in Singapore, Chu has reached the quarter-finals of a ranking event on two occasions.

Most notably, at the 2018 Australian Women’s Open she recovered from 2-0 down against Australia’s Carlie Tait at the last 16 stage to reach her maiden quarter-final and break into the world’s top 20 for the first time. She would repeat her last eight run in Sydney a year later, ultimately losing to compatriot So Man Yan.

At the 2017 Eden Women’s Masters she claimed her first side-event title following a 3-0 victory against compatriot Ho Yee Ki in the final.
