The official world women’s rankings have been updated for the third time during the 2025/26 season after Bai Yulu captured the Niche Cues Women’s Snooker Opne title at the Hi-End Snooker Club in Bangkok, Thailand.

The WWS world rankings operate on a rolling two-year basis, with points earned during the 2025/26 season to replace those earned through the 2023/24 campaign. At this revision no points have been removed and those earned at the 2025 Niche Cues Women’s Snooker Open have been added.

The total rankings points of each player are calculated from their best 14 results during the current counting period.

Bai Closes The Gap

World champion Bai Yulu continues to close the points gap to the top two following her second ranking event win of the season at the Hi-End Snooker Club.

The 22-year-old added to her September victory at the UK Championship with a dominant triumph at the Niche Cues Women’s Open, to take her points tally to 54,875, from just nine events played during the current counting period.

Former world champions Mink Nutcharut (71,875) and Ng On Yee (66,000) remain at the head of the rankings, despite their respective defeats to Bai at the semi-finals and final rounds in Thailand last week.

The pair have played 15 and 14 events respectively during the counting period and both have significantly more points to defend during the second half of this season than China’s Bai, meaning that the gap could be set to close over the coming months.

Elsewhere inside of the world’s top 10, there is just one position change as 2023 world champion Baipat Siripaporn climbs one spot to ninth following her quarter-final run in Thailand.

Notable Movers

Outside of the top 10, Australian Women’s Open champion Ploychompoo Laokiatphong continued her strong recent form with a semi-final run to rise to 11th spot, while Hong Kong China duo Ho Yee Ki and Mei Mei Fong also gained positions having reached the last 16 at Hi-End.

There are also new career-highs for Phakwalan Kongkaew (30), Natcharin Sornprasert (44) and Panchaya Channoi (48) inside of the world’s top 50.

Under-21 / Seniors

Thailand’s Narucha Phoemphul is the new Under-21 number one for the first time after she made it three wins from three so far this season at the Niche Cues Women’s Open.

The 19-year-old is rewarded for her strong form over the past year which has seen her claim five titles at junior level in 12 months and sees her leapfrog England’s Ellise Scott to claim top spot.

Also climbing the Under-21 list are players including world champion Panchaya Channoi (+1) and Phakwalan Kongkaew (+1).

The big mover in the Seniors rankings meanwhile is Singapore’s Charlene Chai, who rises 10 places to number six following her maiden title triumph in Bangkok.

Hong Kong China’s So Man Yan is a new entry at 17 having reached the final, while Hong Lay Toh and newcomer Phennapha Sungthong rise to 20 and 24 respectively.
